Database Search Basics

When the user makes a search, our search engine makes a PHP query to our MySQL book database.

By the nature of our database our search has some limitations:

1) Words or numbers with less than 4 characters will not give results.

2) Our ID Numbers are made of 5 digits. So, as a example, to search for the book ID number 83 please type 00083 on the search box. Also, to search for the book ID number 233 the user should type 00233.

3) Searching by Price are not allowed.

4) Monetary, Mathematical and Programing symbols are not allowed. Examples: £ , € , ' , ( , ) , < , > , and so on.
